Conditions for obtaining service

  • The dentist must be a Jordanian citizen.
  • The dentist must be registered at the Jordanian Dental Association (JDA).
  • The dentist must be a holder of the Professional License.
  • A (40) square meters office space for the clinic to be licensed.

Procedures

  1. The applicant shall visit Dental Clinics and Centers Licensing Department and submit the application and the enclosed documents to grant the license of a clinic.
  2. Submit a request to conduct a field inspection.
  3. Provide the applicant with a checklist of devices and tools that should be available in the clinic.
  4. The applicant pays the due fees in the Financial Department.
  5. The documents are verified and the application is approved. The applicant will be supplied with instructions for the necessary technical and health equipment and specifications.
  6. The application is then documented in the register.
  7. The application will be referred to the Director of the Health Professions and Institutions Licensing Directorate who will review and transfer it to Dental Clinics and Centers Licensing Department.
  8. The application to obtain the license will be assigned for the Field Inspection Program.
  9. The competent committee will carry out the actual inspection of the location to verify the availability of the necessary equipment and meeting the technical and health specifications.
    1. If the committee disapproves the location, the applicant is given a time limit to do the required amendments.
    2. If the committee approves the location, the applicant receives the approval letter signed by the Minister of Health for licensing and direct action

Required Documents

  • An official approval of the clinic site by the Jordanian Dental Association.
  • A copy of the Professional License of the applicant (the dentist).
  • A lease contract certified by Greater Amman Municipality or the Municipality.
  • If the dentist owns the clinic, the title deed under the name of the applicant.  
  • If more than one doctor own the clinic, a copy of the partnership contract.
  • Survey plans stating the actual space of the clinic.
